I’ve had this site going for about 4 months but I just realized there is no “about me” page…. Yet… I figure most people who are looking for information about Albuquerque real estate aren’t going to want to read pages of stuff about me.
But just in case you do want to know more…
I’m from the western suburbs Chicago, from the Village of Glen Ellyn. I grew up there and lived in the same house until I was 18 when I went away to college.
I grew up playing catch on the sidewalk in front of our modest little house that my dad, an electrical engineer from the north side, paid $12,000 for in 1964. I guess back then it was a big chunk of change, but now it sounds like a small downpayment on a home.
I grew up wanting to be a Chicago Cubs baseball player. My summer afternoons were spent pretending I was Ron Santo making the last out of the world series, or pretending I was Bruce Sutter striking out the side in the bottom of the ninth in game 7.
Unfortunately, although I was an outstanding little leaguer I didn’t have what it took to be a pro, so I decided to pursue my other love, music. That worked out pretty well, and until 2004 I was a successful free-lance musician in Chicago. I played everything from Reggae bands (honest, I really did, albeit briefly) to symphony orchestras, and everything in between. Although I was a classically trained trumpet player my favorite type of music to play was broadway style musicals.
Highlights of my musical career include playing Mahler’s first symphony with the reknown Zubin Mehta, playing back up to Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys when we played the entire Pet Sounds album, and when I got to step onto the Wrigley Field turf and play trumpet for Harry Caray day at a Cubs game. That day I got to meet Sammy Sosa, Mark Grace, Steve Stone and one of my boyhood idols, the late Ron Santo, R.I.P.
Why am I telling you these personal things? Because they make me the person I am today, and the Realtor that I am today too.
I’m a midwesterner with a sensibility that’s sometimes a little different, a little more practical, a little more sensible than you find sometimes out here in the wild west. I’m a musician, a former entertainer who loves to give to others, and I’m a bit of a dreamer too (I am referring of course, to the whole Chicago Cubs world series thing there, lol).
I’m also one of the most educated Realtors in Albuquerque who loves to write about real estate in the Duke city.
If you’re looking for a Realtor who is down to earth, educated but genuine, then I hope you’ll call me:
”I’ll always keep your best interests in mind.”
I have some nice real estate websites, please check them out if you’re ready to search for Albuquerque NM Homes or Rio Rancho NM Real Estate.
