NW Heights Home Sales Down, Pending Sales Holding Steady
Home sales were down sharply year over year, but pending home sales were strong, pointing to the possibility of a strong November. There were 35 home sales in September 2012, down from 45 sales in October 2011. Sales were also down from August, but this is to be expected since home sales usually tend to taper off as the holidays approach.
Price Per Square Foot Holding Steady
The average price per square foot dipped slightly, but continues to hover around $100 per square foot. Over the last year it has averaged $100 per square foot; over the last 6 months $102; over the last 3 months $101.
Housing Inventory Growing
The gap between homes for sale, which was up, and homes in pending status, which were down, widened, causing the months of inventory stat to climb.
